Men's Soccer Concludes Non-Conference Slate With Fordham Tuesday

Princeton finishes up the non-conference portion of its 2021 season with a mid-week match against Fordham at Sherrerd Field on October 26, hosting the Rams at 8 p.m. The Tigers enter the game with a 4-5-0 record in games played outside the Ivy League this season.
Inside the Ancient Eight, Princeton is 4-0-0 and atop the table with 12 points. Most recently, Princeton rallied by Harvard, 4-1, on Saturday in Cambridge. The Crimson scored first, but the Tigers answered just over 90 seconds later with a Lucas Gen header. From there, it was the Kevin O'Toole show as the Ivy leader in scoring notched a hat trick in a span of 7:32 to wrap up Ivy League Player of the Week honors. Last week, O'Toole had four goals and assist to play a role in five of Princeton's six goals scored. Over his last four games -- each a Princeton win -- O'Toole had seven goals and two assists.
For his career, O'Toole has 15 goals and 15 assists for 30 points. His 15 careers assists tie him for No. 5 all-time in a career by a Tiger alongside Jesse Marsch '96, Antoine Hoppenot '12, Thomas Sanner '16, Ryan Rich ;'06, Christian Unge '90, and Jacob Dowden '96. With one more assist, O'Toole will move into a tie for No. 4 all-time alongside Marshall Rose '70.
The Tigers and Rams have met once previously in men's soccer, a 5-1 win for Princeton in 1988.
Scouting Fordham
Fordham has won four of its last six games, entering the week with a 4-3-0 record inside the Atlantic 10 which has the Rams tied for fourth in the A-10 standings... Max Rogers leads the team with 3g, 5a for 11 points, while Matt Sloan has a team-high four goals... Nick Bucholz has taken the reins in goal and is coming off his first 90-minute shutout of the season.
