Men's Swimming & Diving Defeats Columbia in Home Opener

Princeton, N.J. – The Princeton University men's swimming and diving team put forth an inspiring display in their first home meet of the season, defeating Ivy League rival Columbia 197-103.
The Tigers continued their dominance in relays, placing one-two in both the 200 and 400 free relays. The team of Brett Feyerick, Josh Brown, Nicholas Lim, and Max Walther (1:29.24) touched first, not even a second before the team of Tyler Hong, Raunak Khosla, Max Kreidl, and Brian Lou (1:30.18) touched the wall.
In the 400 free relay, the team of Nicholas Lim, Brett Feyerick, Jonathan Pollock, and Max Walther earned first place (3:00.53), while the team of Brian Lou, Max Hunger, Billy Swartwout, and Dylan Porges (3:04.38) finished in second.
The Tigers also went one-two in both the 100 and 200 butterfly. Tyler Hong (48.72) finished ahead of Brian Lou (49.59) in the 100, while Nicholas Lim (1:49.24) just edged out Max Kreidl (1:49.71) for first place in the 200.
The 100 back also featured a one-two finish, with Tyler Hong (49.39) beating out Brett Feyerick by two tenths of a second. The one-two finish in the 50 free was even closer, with Max Walther (20.51) just barely edging Josh Brown (20.59) by eight one hundreths of a second!
The Tigers did one better than a one-two finish, ending the dual meet with a one-two-three finish in three different events: Those included the 100 free, 200 free, and the 200 IM.
In the 100 free, it was Josh Brown (45.01) who touched first, followed by Max Walther (45.23) and Brett Feyerick (46.31).
Raunak Khosla earned first place in the 200 free, going 1:39.22. Peyton Werner (1:41.52) came in second, followed by Max Hunger (1:41.56) in third.
And in the 200 IM, Hunter Kim (1:50.52) was first, just edging out Tyler Hong (1:50.89). Josh Brown's time of 1:52.21 was good enough for third.
Dylan Porges showed his star power once again, finishing first in both events he raced in. Porges posted a 4:30.36 in the 500 free and a time of 9:15.48 in the 1000 free.
Also racing in the 500 free was Nicholas Lim (4:34.78) who placed third. Hunter Kim (9:24.81) joined Porges in the 1000 free, finishing third.
Rounding out the final few individual events, Brian Lou (55.31) finished second in the 100 breast, Raunak Khosla (2:00.63) finished second in the 200 breast and Max Kreidl (1:53.62) finished third in the 200 back.
In the 1-meter dive, Colten Young placed second with 346.50 points, while George Callanan finished in third with 339.83 points.
In the 3-meter dive, the results were flipped. George Callanan took second placed with 383.78 points, while Colten Young placed third with 362.25 points.
Next up: The Tigers travel to Penn to face the Quakers and the Cornell Big Red in a tri-meet on November 20th. Meet time is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
