Heavies' 1V8 Wins At Princeton Chase on Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Shea Rowing Center hosted the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie on Sunday afternoon.
The Heavies' day was highlighted by the 1V8+ (Julia Campbell, Floyd Benedikter, Nate Phelps, Hanno Brach, Keelan Good, Erik Spinka, Marco Misasi, James Quinlan, and Zach Vachal) taking the top time at 12:26.67, just in front of Syracuse at 12:26.98. The 2V8+ was just outside the top five in sixth place (13:01.68) while the 3V8+ was ninth (13:06.59) among the 40 boats in the field. The 2V8, 3V8 and 4V8 (13:13.30) boats had the best times among their classes.
Princeton's 4- raced to a 13:50.36, ahead of the 2V4- (14:06.13) and 3V4- (14:07.33).
The Tigers' 1V4+ (14:00.1) and 2V4+ (14:09.43) boats secured second and third place behind Syracuse (13:58.89).
1V2- (15:59.74) and 2V2- (16:30.76) placed second and third in their event behind the men's lightweight crew (15:36.82).
Princeton's 1x paced the field at 16:58.71, 38 seconds ahead of Marietta. The 2V1x was third at 17:41.33.
