Schedule Announcement: Women's Soccer Team to Return to Play Aug. 27

In the program's return to play following the pandemic-related cancellation of the 2020 season, the 2021 Princeton women's soccer team will make its debut Aug. 27 at Class of 1952 Stadium when it opens a 17-game regular season against Loyola (Md.).

The 10-time Ivy League champions, including three of the last five titles awarded, will return players who have earned a combined five All-Ivy League honors, with senior defender Lucy Rickerson looking to close out her career with four such honors and junior defender Madison Curry aiming for another all-league honor to follow up her first-team recognition from her rookie season in 2019. Despite being two years removed from its last season played, Princeton returns the scorers of 14 of its 23 goals from 2019, with junior midfielder/forward Grace Sherman leading the way among the returners from 2019 with four.
All home games will be held at Class of 1952 Stadium while construction of the new Roberts Stadium, to be located off FitzRandolph Road near Faculty Road, continues. Admission to all of the team's regular-season home games is free of charge.Â
COVID-19 information:
Princeton University announced that beginning on August 1, 2021 indoor and outdoor gatherings will be permitted on campus and that those events may include visitors in addition to University personnel. We are excited to welcome our passionate fan base back to Princeton Athletics events.
As of July 4, 2021, face coverings are no longer required on campus, indoors or outdoors. Similarly, Social distancing is no longer required indoors or outdoors. The occupancy limits imposed for public health purposes are no longer needed. All guests, regardless of their vaccination status, should take the steps they feel appropriate to protect themselves while attending an event that could include unvaccinated people.
