Women’s Track and Field to Face Navy in Annapolis

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's track and field team will compete against Navy in a dual meet on Saturday, January 15th inside the Wesley A. Brown field house.

Most recently for Princeton, at the Joe Handelman Invitational, the Tigers impressed with three top-10 school record performances. Annika Kelly moved into fifth all-time in the weight throw with a toss of 18.63 meters.

In the high jump, Madeleine Wood leapt 1.70 meters, tied for tenth all time in school history. And in the 300 meters, Arianna Smith ran a 40.70, tied for tenth all time in school history.

On the Midshipmen: In their most recent outing at the Navy Invitational, the Midshipmen recorded 9 ECAC qualifying marks. In the 2019-2020 season, Navy won first place in the Patriot League Indoor Championships. That year, the Tigers edged the Midshipmen in a dual meet, winning 90-87.

Up Next: The Tigers will compete in the Wesley Brown Invitational hosted by the Naval Academy from January 21st to January 22nd.
