Tordin Sweeps Ivy Weekly Awards

For the second time in three weeks, Princeton freshman Pietra Tordin has earned an Ivy weekly honor, this time adding an Ivy Player of the Week award to sweep the Ivy weekly recognitions.

It's Princeton's third Ivy Rookie of the Week honor this season. Along with Tordin's on Sept. 19, classmate Kelsee Wozniak earned the honor on Aug. 29 to cap the first weekend of the season. It's Princeton's second Ivy Player of the Week honor, along with Heather MacNab's on Aug. 29.

Tordin also added a spot on College Soccer News' national Team of the Week for her efforts.

Tordin led Princeton with two goals and five points on the weekend, scoring a goal to put away Princeton's 2-0 win over Bucknell in the 83rd minute on Tuesday and getting the first goal in the seventh minute in a 2-0 win over Dartmouth on Sunday.

The goals lifted Tordin to a team-best six goals on the season, and along with an assist on the second goal in the Dartmouth win, a team-best 13 points. If Tordin ends the season leading the team in goals, she would be the first freshman since Tyler Lussi '17 in 2013 to lead the team in that stat.
