Tigers Shut out Montreal in Exhibition Opener

Mia Coene's rebound goal with seven-plus minutes left in the second period paired with a shutout from Jennifer Olnowich and Taylor Hyland in goal as the Princeton women's hockey team was a 1-0 winner over the University of Montreal in an exhibition game Sunday afternoon at Baker Rink.
Princeton outshot Montreal 43-22 on goal with Olnowich getting the start and making nine saves before giving way to Hyland midway through the second period. Hyland made 13 saves to secure the win.
Setting up the goal, Katherine Khramtsov intercepted an errant Montreal pass to get a breakaway, and though Montreal netminder Aube Racine made the save on Khramtsov, Coene was there for the rebound and the goal.
Princeton will open the regular season Oct. 28-29 at Baker Rink against Colgate and Cornell.
