Eight Tigers Recognized as Cross Country All-Region Honorees

Official USTFCCCA All Region Team Announcement
Princeton, N.J. - Eight members of the Princeton Cross Country team earned All-Region honors on Sunday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following last Friday's Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
All-Region honorees for the 2022 NCAA Divison I Cross Country Season earn this distinction via a top-25 finish within their regional race. Princeton had three members of the women's team and five members of the men's team earn this exceptional accolade.
For the women's team a trio of Tigers were named All Region: Abby Loveys, Fiona Max, and Tsion Yared. Abby Loveys finished in third (20:11.6), Fiona Max placed 12th (20:41.9), and Tsion Yared came in 19th (20:52.6).
All three of these women were also named Second Team All-Ivy earlier this season, following their performances at this years Ivy Leauge Heps in Van Cortlandt Park.
Loveys' third place finish will send her to the NCAA Championship meet in Stillwater, Oklahoma as a top-four runner who was not a part of a team that automatically advanced.
On the men's team, Connor Nisbet, Jack Stanley, Daniel O'Brien, Josh Zelek and Jarrett Kirk were also named All-Region after last Friday's performance at Penn State.
Connor Nisbet came in fifth, (30:08.8), Jack Stanley finished in 14th (30:20.7), Daniel O'Brien placed 17th (30:27.9), Josh Zelek right behind in 18th (30:28.4), and Jarrett Kirk finished 19th (30:35.0).
The men's team will be back in action racing again in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Saturday after being selected as an at-large team to advance to the NCAA DI Championships. Princeton was one of 13 at-large teams selected to advance to the Championship.
