PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's basketball team will play its final game before Christmas on Friday, December 23, at 12 p.m. inside Jadwin Gymnasium when it hosts Kean.

Princeton trimmed an 18-point deficit down to a single point Friday night inside Jadwin Gymnasium, but fell just short to Delaware, 76-69.

Senior Ryan Langborg finished with a team-high 16 points, knocked down a season-high four three pointers, pulled down five rebounds and handed out four assists. Freshman Xaivian Lee tied his season-high with 12 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the field and 2-for-3 shooting from three, and junior Matt Allocco added 11 points and a team-high six rebounds. Freshman Caden Pierce added a season-high 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the field and five rebounds, while senior Keeshawn Kellman rounded out double-digit scorers for Princeton with 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting. The Tigers were led in assists by senior Tosan Evbuomwan, who had five.

With 193 wins as a Head Coach, Mitch Henderson is seven wins away from 200 career wins. He is currently third all-time in wins at Princeton; Franklin (Cappy) Cappon is second with 250, and Pete Carril first with 514.
The 2022 Ivy League Player of the Year
Evbuomwan has had a strong start to the 2022-23 season, leading the team and ranking eighth in the Ivy League in scoring with 12.7 points on 50.9% shooting. He also leads the team in rebounding and ranks fifth in the conference with 6.5 per game, leads the team in assists and ranks third in the Ivy League with 3.8 and is leads the team in steals with 10.

200 Assists For Evbuomwan
In the first half against Iona, Evbuomwan found Pierce for the 200th assist of his career, and ended the game with 206 total in his career. Evbuomwan's 142 assists in the 2021-22 season were No. 2 all-time at Princeton, trailing only William F. Ryan's 161 assists in the 1983-84 season.

100 Made Threes For Langborg
With 112 made three-pointers in his career, Langborg ranks No. 20 all-time in school history for made three-pointers. This was accomplished in a shortened 2019-20 season and no 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, 22 Tigers have exceeded 100 made three-pointers in their career. Langborg is also averaging 11.8 points per game, which is second on the team and 10th in the Ivy League. Additionally, Langborg's 66 made three-pointers in the 2021-22 season rank No. 13 all-time at Princeton for most made three-pointers in a season.

Kellman has provided the Tigers with a reliable presence inside in 2022-23, averaging 10.4 points on 62.1% shooting (No. 3 in the Ivy League) along with 4.7 rebounds, and blocking 11 shots. Over the past three games, Over the past four games Kellman has been the Tigers' second-leading scorer, averaging 12.8 points on 68.8% shooting and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Allocco has taken his game to another level this season, and ranks third on the team in scoring with 10.3 points on 50.5% shooting from the field and 41.3% shooting from three, which ranks No. 5 in the Ivy League. He also ranks third on the team in rebounding with 5.8, second in assists with 32 and is tied for second in steals with eight.

Wright shot 4-for-5 from the field and a perfect 3-for-3 from the three, while Johns went 4-for-5 from the field and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc on route to his career-high 13 points. Jaelin Llewellyn added 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting and 2-for-3 shooting from long range, while Kellman shot 5-for-6 from the field to add 10 points along with a game-high seven rebounds. Langborg also added a game and career-high five assists.
