Women's Water Polo Set To Host Annual Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The women's water polo team host the Princeton Invitational this weekend (Feb. 11-13).

The full schedule is listed below. Princeton takes on LIU Brooklyn (5 p.m.) and St. Francis-Brooklyn (8:30 p.m.) on Friday, VMI (4:00 p.m.) and Bucknell (7:45 p.m.) on Saturday and Saint Francis on Sunday (11:45 a.m.). Only Princeton games will be streamed.

Head coach Derek Ellingson's squad is 4-2 this season with victories over No. 21 California Baptist, Iona, La Salle and Villanova. Jovana Sekulic leads the team with 16 goals and 17 points. Nicole Kreisch paces the offense with eight helpers while contributing eight tallies. Kaila Carroll (10), Meera Burghardt (nine), Kayla Yelensky (eight), and Lara Larkin (six) each have at least five goals.

LIU Brooklyn is 4-2 in 2022 highlighted by an impressive win over No. 10 Indiana. SFC Brooklyn College is 1-3 with a decision over Gannon. VMI is 0-4 while No. 24 Bucknell is 2-1. Saint Francis is 5-3 led by a 15-goal victory over Mt. St. Mary's.
