•The best in the Ivy League squared off at Jadwin Gym on Saturday afternoon with the Princeton Tigers securing a wire-to-wire 57-39 victory over the Columbia Lions.

•Columbia came into the game with the second-best scoring offense in the conference but failed to score more than 10 points in two quarters. The Lions' Kaitlyn Davis is the two-time reigning Ivy Player of the Week and was held to four points in 20 minutes of action. Abbey Hsu was the conference's second leading scorer at 16.9 points per game, but only registered three points on 1-of-8 shooting in the loss.

•The Tigers scored the first eight points of the game and ran off with 14-4 advantage after 10 minutes highlighted by a defense that allowed just one Columbia basket. Head coach Carla Berube's squad used a 10-2 spurt over the last three minutes of the first half to expand its lead to 19, 35-16, at halftime.

•Columbia closed the gap to 12, 41-29, but an eight-point flurry to end the quarter by the Tigers pushed their lead back to 20, 49-29, and that put the game out of reach.
