Men's Basketball Overcomes Dartmouth, 85-40

PRINCETON, N.J. – A superb defensive performance along with a season-best rebounding effort helped the Princeton University men's basketball team overcome Dartmouth College, 85-40, Saturday evening inside Jadwin Gymnasium.
The victory moved the Tigers to 17-5 overall, 7-2 in Ivy League play, and 12-1 in Jadwin Gymnasium in 2021-22. Dartmouth's 40 points was the lowest point total a Division I opponent has scored against the Tigers this season.
Junior Tosan Evbuomwan led all scorers with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting, and also pulled down five rebounds. Junior Ryan Langborg went 5-for-8 from the field and added 12 points, while seniors Jaelin Llewellyn and Ethan Wright each finished with nine. Sophomore Zach Martini tied his career-high in points with seven, and also pulled down a career-high five rebounds.
The Tigers dominated the rebounding count, 50-25, with Princeton's 50 rebounds being a season-high. Along with handing out 18 assists, the Tigers went 33-for-68 (48.5%) from the field, and 12-for-26 (46.2%) from three.
The Tigers opened the game on a 6-0 run, with all six points coming courtesy of Evbuomwan. Princeton held a 7-2 advantage with 15:57 on the clock, then jumped ahead, 12-7, following a Llewellyn three-pointer from the top of the circle with 12:52 left in the half.
A senior Drew Friberg three-pointer with 10:05 remaining in the half sparked a 10-0 run, giving the Tigers a 23-6 lead with 7:10 on the clock. A Langborg three-pointer at 5:41 sparked an 11-0 run, that saw Princeton surge ahead, 36-10, with 3:02 on the clock following a three-pointer from the right corner by senior Elijah Barnes. Llewellyn drilled a three-pointer as time expired, and Princeton took a 43-13 advantage into the half.
The Big Green attempted to trim the deficit, but the Tigers held on for the 85-40 victory.

Llewellyn sank a three-pointer with 18:23 on the clock, sparking a 12-0 run that gave Princeton a 58-15 advantage with 15:27 left to play, following a Friberg three.
