February 13, 2022 | Men's Tennis
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's team added a third-straight win over a Big Ten opponent, with a 6-1 defeat of Penn State Sunday afternoon inside Jadwin Gymnasium.
"We had a comprehensive performance today and I was really pleased how we jumped to leads in singles after winning the doubles point," said head coach Billy Pate. "No. 3 doubles played with like their hair was on fire and that gave us a spark. I felt that energy carried over to singles and helped us seize momentum. We'll get back to work this week and prepare for the ECAC starting Friday."
In doubles, the team of Ryan Seggerman and Justin Barki took down Malik Bhatnagar and Alexander Karman at the No. 1 position 6-3. At No. 3, Thomas Bosancic and Filippos Astreinidis defeated Charl Morgan and Miko Eala, 6-1.
In singles, Seggerman earned a 6-3, 602 victory over Bhatnagar at the No. 1 spot, while No. 64 Karl Poling downed Chikaya Sato at No. 2, 6-4, 5-7, 14-12.
