Thompson, Fillier to Play for Olympic Gold on Wednesday Night

Claire Thompson '20, Sarah Fillier '24 and the Canadian women's hockey team will be playing for Olympic gold on Wednesday night (ET).
Thompson had Canada's first goal in a 10-3 win over Switzerland in the semifinals on Sunday night (ET), scoring less than eight minutes into the game and going on to add two assists while Fillier added an assist later in the game as well.
Canada will face the U.S. in the final, set for an 11:10 p.m. ET start.Â
The Tiger pair will join Andrea Kilbourne '03 as Princeton students or alumnae to win an Olympic medal in women's ice hockey. Kilbourne won silver with Team USA in 2002.Â
