Princeton responded in the top of the fourth when Sophia Marsalo opened with a single, Adrienne Chang followed with a double, and two batters later, a Grace Jackson base hit tied the game.
It stayed tied 1-1 until the bottom of the fifth, when Iowa used three hits and a walk to score three runs and take a 4-1 lead. Princeton got one of those back in the top of the sixth when Lauren Sablone led off with a base hit and later scored on a wild pitch for what became the game's final run.
