Women’s Track and Field Places Second at Heps

NEW YORK – The Princeton University women's track and field team put together a brilliant performance on day two of the Ivy League Indoor Championships.
The Tigers compiled 112 points and won titles in the 800 meters, 1000 meters, 4x800 meter relay, shot put, and triple jump.
"I could not be more proud of our team!" said head coach Michelle Eisenreich. "We had the goal of being in the top two, scoring over 100 points and having as many all-Ivy (1st and 2nd place finishes) as possible. The team rose to the occasion on all fronts (five first places finishes and three 2nd places finishes). At one point in the middle of the meet we won four straight events in the course of three minutes (the 800m, 100m, Triple Jump and Shot Put)."
Grace Lanouette turned in a 7.60 to secure second place in the 60 meters. Lanouette's time lands her fifth all time in school history.
In the 200 meters, Nia Mosby (24.42) placed fourth, Grace Lanouette (24.71) took sixth and Brianna Mponzi (25.22) finished in eighth. Mosby's time places her sixth all-time in school history.
Arianna Smith took third in the 400 meters, her time of 55.21 moving her into third all-time in school history.
Paola Rodriguez (1:17.07) placed eighth in the 500 meters.
Maggie Hock finished first in the 800 meters, her time of 2:05.86 placing her second all-time in school history.
In the 1000 meters, Caroline Timm (2:47.83) took first place, while Mena Scatchard (2:55.04) took sixth. Timm's mark is good for fifth all-time in school history.
India Weir placed fourth in the mile (4:52.17), followed by Maggie Liebich (4:54.70) in seventh and Mari Noble (4:56.95) in eighth.
In the 5000 meters, Madeleine Burns (16:27.05) finished third while Angie Allen (17:18.14) took tenth.
The team of India Weir, Lauren Harris, Caroline Timm and Fiona Max finished third in the distance medley relay, turning in a time of 11:22.35. That mark ranks seventh all-time in school history.
The quartet of Paola Rodriguez, Tsion Yared, Mena Scatchard and Maggie Hock took first place in the 4x800 meter relay, with a mark of 8:49.48. That time ranks seventh all-time in school history.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the foursome of Adelaide Asante, India Ingemi, Arianna Smith and Nia Mosby secured fifth place after clocking in at 3:45.74, good enough for eighth all-time in school history.
In the shotput, Siniru Iheoma earned first place with a throw of 15.18 meters, good for fourth all-time in school history. Jalah Morris (13.39 m) took tenth.
On her final run of the day in the triple jump, Tia Rozario leap frogged into first place, her distance of 12.54 meters landing her second all-time in school history.
Madeleine Wood placed second in the high jump with a distance of 1.77 meters, placing her third all-time in school history. Amy Aririguzoh (1.60 m) took 17th.
