Women’s Track and Field Sets School Record at the Dr. Sander Invitational
February 04, 2022 | Women's Track and Field
NEW YORK – The Princeton University women's track and field team broke the school record in the distance medley relay, Friday afternoon at the Armory.
The team of Margaret Hock, Adelaide Asante, Tsion Yared and Caroline Timm clocked in at 11:11.00, smashing the previous record of 11:13.47 held by the team of Johnson '10, Offorjebe '09, Costello '10 and Mullen '07.
"They ran fearlessly against a field of national caliber teams, and ended up edging out Boston College behind an incredible anchor leg from senior Caroline Timm" said Head Coach Michelle Eisenreich.
The Tigers performed strongly in the 60, thanks to Casey Burton (7.88), Harlowe Brummet-Dunn (7.68), Olivia Hee (7.71), and Grace Lanouette (7.74). Burton also lept 5.81 meters in the long jump.
Next up: The Tigers will compete in day two of the Dr. Sander Invitational, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
