Women's Water Polo Uses Six Multi-Goal Scorers In 19-14 Win Over Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The No. 21 Princeton Tigers had six multi-goal scorers in a 19-14 takedown of the Villanova Wildcats on Friday evening.
The Tigers scored three of the first four goals of the contest and held a 4-2 advantage after eight minutes. After exchanging tallies, Princeton ripped off four consecutive scores to jump ahead, 9-3, with 2:40 left in the first half.
Villanova ended the second quarter with a 3-1 push to close the deficit to four, 10-6. In front by two, the Tigers scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter to set the score at 15-10 as the clock read 5:38. The Wildcats did not get within four the rest of the way.
Head coach Derek Ellingson's squad will host the Princeton Invitational next week (Feb. 11-13).
