No. 3 Princeton Tops Penn to Close Ivy Season

Closing out the Ivy League season, the No. 3 Princeton women's squash team turned in a 7-2 win over No. 9 Penn on Saturday in Jadwin Gym.
Princeton had wins on seven of the top eight courts, with Andrea Toth sweep as one of four 3-0 wins for the Tigers on the day. Caroline Spahr at four, Katherine Glaser at six, and Katherine Sapinski at seven were also winners in sweeps. Elle Ruggiero won the last two games to take her match on court two 3-1, as did Emme Leonard on court five. Molly Chadwick had a 2-0 lead before winning in four on court eight.
Both of Penn's (7-7, 1-4 Ivy) wins needed the distance, with Avni Anand winning in five on court three against Raneem El Torky and Navi Sharma taking the match on nine against Josephine Klein.
Princeton's win extended the team's streak against Penn to five matches since the Quakers' last win in the series in 2017.
Now 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the Ivy, Princeton will have its final dual match of the season on Feb. 15 at Drexel.
