No. 11 Women's Open Rowing Defeats Two Top-10 Teams To Open 2022

PRINCETON –The Class of 1987 Trophy stays with the Tigers!
The first regatta of the 2022 season as a success for No. 11 Princeton as the Tigers returned to Lake Carnegie with a 3.0-second win.
Princeton navigated the 2000-meter course in 6:21.3, a full three seconds ahead of No. 8 Brown and 6.3 seconds clear of No. 7 Ohio State.
With the win over Brown, Princeton retains the Class of 1987 Trophy with its 13th consecutive victory over the Bears.
"Today was a great way to start the season, the team did a fantastic job," said head coach Lori Dauphiny. "There is more work to be done as you would expect at the beginning of any season but It was so much fun to see a large portion of the team race their first 2k ever for Princeton. A big thank you to Brown and Ohio State for coming to race. "
The Tigers swept all three eights, with the 2V winning by a margin of 2.1 seconds and the 3V claiming a 6.9-second win.
