No. 7 Yale Gets Past Princeton in ECACH Semis

Five days after becoming the first eighth-seeded team in the 20-year history of the best-of-three ECAC Hockey quarterfinal round to knock out the top-seeded team, the Princeton women's hockey team took an early lead on second-seeded Yale in Friday's single-elimination semifinal, but the Bulldogs came back to win 3-1.
Princeton got that early goal when Mia Coene deflected a Dominique Cormier shot past Yale goalie Gianna Meloni, and Princeton held that lead through the rest of the first period.
Yale tied it with an Emma Seitz power-play goal less than seven minutes into the second period, and a goal from Claire Dalton with 32 seconds left in the period put Yale in front 2-1.
Elle Hartje added an empty-netter with 56 seconds left for the final goal.
Princeton outshot Yale 49-48 overall and 26-23 on goal on the afternoon.
