No. 12 Men’s Track and Field Sets Two Top-10 School Records on Day One of the Larry Ellis Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's track and field team found great success in the throws, with two top-10 school records being set on day one of the Larry Ellis Invitational.
In the hammer throw, William Cauley and Paul Brennan finished fourth and fifth with marks of 60.09 meters and 59.90 meters respectively. Cauley's distance lands him seventh all-time in school history, while Brennan's distance lands him eighth all-time in school history.
Chandler Ault earned first place in the javelin with a distance of 72.18 meters, just short of his school record. Meanwhile, Zach Jaramillo (55.46 m) took 12th and Andrei Iosivas (49.74 m) finished 18th.
Five Tigers placed in the 800 meters, including Kieran McDermott (1:52.18) in 15th, Connor Chen (1:54.68) in 35th, Sam Ellis (1:56.29) in 39th, Sam Rodman (2:15.25) in 48th and Ethan Reese (2:25.17) in 49th.
The 1500 meters featured seven Tigers, with Harrison Witt (3:44.67) placing 5th, Duncan Miller (3:46.12) 14th, Daniel O'Brien (3:47.02) 21st, Connor Nisbet (3:51.82) 37th, Nicholas Bendtsen (3:54.35) 42nd, Jack Stanley (3:57.32) 44th and Joe Fast (4:06.57) 46th.
Kevin Berry secured fifth place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:58.35.
