Women’s Water Polo Falls to Harvard 10-8

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 19 Princeton University women's water polo team were edged 10-8 by No. 22 Harvard, Saturday afternoon at DeNunzio Pool.
The first quarter started fast, as the Crimson jumped out to 2-0 lead. A Grace Houlahan goal fueled a four-goal scoring streak to put the Tigers ahead 4-2. Harvard managed to score one more before the end of the first, making it 4-3 Princeton after one. In the second quarter, the Crimson scored four in a row, and with the Tigers unable to find the back of the net, Harvard took a 7-4 lead into halftime.
Harvard opened the scoring in the second half, before Jovana Sekulic and Rachael Carver pulled the Tigers back within two at 8-6. Despite their best efforts, Princeton would not be able to close the gap, falling 10-8 to the Crimson.
Goals: Carroll (2), Sekulic (2), Carver (1), Houlahan (1), Robinson (1), Yelensky (1)

The Tigers play two games tomorrow, with matchups against Mount ST. Mary's and Michigan at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. respectively.
