Penn Relays, TCNJ Outdoor Invitational Up Next for No. 19 Men’s Track and Field

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's track and field team will participate in two separate competitions this week, including the Penn Relays from April 28th – April 30th and the TCNJ Outdoor Invitational from April 29th – April 30th.
The Tigers were ranked 19th overall in the latest USTFCCCA rating index, with the orange and black holding three top-10 marks in the nation. Sondre Guttormsen (5.75 m) and Simen Guttormsen (5.65 m) rank second and fourth in the pole vault and Robbie Otal (61.71 m) ranks seventh in the discus.
Three more from the orange and black rank in the top-20 in the nation. Chandler Ault (72.35 m) ranks 12th in the pole vault, Aviram Shwarzbard (7.85 m) ranks 14th in the long jump and C.J. Licata (19.41 m) ranks 16th in the shot put.
In their most recent outing at the Virginia Challenge, the Tigers set two Ivy League records along with two program records. The 4x100 meter relay team of Simang'aliso Ndhlovu, Ibrahim Ayorinde, Daniel Duncan and Greg Sholars set a new Ivy League record in the event, turning in a time of 39.36. Additionally, Ibrahim Ayorinde set an Ivy League record in the 100 meters with a mark of 10.22.
Ayorinde also set a program record in the 200 meters, going 20.51. Meanwhile, Kevin Berry set a program record in the 5000 meters, recording a time of 13:37.21.
