April 08, 2022 | Men's Rowing - Lightweight
ESPN+ | National Poll
Finally... some racing on home water.
For the first time since April 27, 2019, Princeton's men's lightweight rowing team will compete on Lake Carnegie as the No. 4-ranked Tigers welcome No. 9 Dartmouth, Temple and Delaware to town for racing that starts at 9:20 a.m. on April 9. On home water, Princeton's 1V has won its last 11 races since a loss to Navy on March 25, 2017.

10:00 AM First Varsity
The four schools raced together in 2019, Princeton winning the inaugural Diamond Challenge Cup with a 3.6-second win the Varsity Eight as part of a four-race sweep for the Tigers on Lake Carnegie.
"We're thrilled to be back on Lake Carnegie for our first lightweight race on Carnegie since April 2019," said head coach Martin Crotty. "It's pretty wild and bizarre how almost everyone who competed that day has graduated and these are whole new crews. It makes me nostalgic for the guys who never got to finish their careers here but also very excited each weekend because with this brand new group I don't know what to expect and I have no idea what to expect from our opponents either. It's safe to say that whatever was happening before the pause -- good or bad -- is completely irrelevant, and this is a fresh start for everyone."
Princeton's 1V is 2-1 during the spring season, with wins in its last two races -- downing Georgetown on the Potomac and Columbia at Overpeck Park.
