Men’s Track and Field Climbs to No. 17 in First USTFCCCA Post-Season Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The first post-season edition the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index was released today, with the Princeton Men's Track and Field Team checking in at No. 17 in the nation.

The Tigers have four top-10 marks in the nation, including Ed Trippas (8:30.25) ranking third in the 3000-meter steeplechase, Sondre Guttormsen (5.75 m) and Simen Guttormsen (5.65 m) ranking third and fourth in the pole vault, and Robbie Otal (62.77 m) ranking seventh in the discus.

Four more from the orange and black rank in the top-20 in the nation. Sam Rodman (1:47.25) and Chandler Ault (72.47 m) rank 13th in the 800 meters and javelin respectively, while Aviram Shwarzbard (7.85 m) ranks 17th in the long jump and C.J. Licata (19.41 m) ranks 20th in the shot put.

An NCAA best 27 members of the Princeton University men's track and field team will compete in the NCAA East Regional from May 25th – May 28th at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex.
