Men’s Track & Field Checks in at No. 16 in USTFCCCA Rankings

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's track & field team moved up a spot to No. 16 in the in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
Most recently, the Tigers competed at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Bloomington, Indiana, from Wednesday, May 25, until Saturday, May 28, and earned 11 entries to the NCAA Championships, the most of any team in the region.
Sondre Guttormsen and Simen Guttormsen will compete in the pole vault, while C.J. Licata qualified in the shot put. Robbie Otal advanced in the discus, and Jeffrey Hollis in the high jump.
Track athletes advancing include Michael Philippy (400 meters), Sam Rodman (800 meters), Sam Ellis (1,500 meters), and Ed Trippas (steeplechase). The 4x100 meter relay team of Simang'aliso Ndhlovu, Ibrahim Ayorinde, Daniel Duncan and Greg Sholars will compete in Eugene, as will the 4x400 meter relay team of Ladislav Töpfer, William Doyle, Andersen Dimon and Michael Phillippy.
The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships take place at Hayward Field from Wednesday, June 8, until Saturday, June 11.
