Men’s Track and Field Rises to No. 16 in Latest USTFCCCA Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The next installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index was released today, with the Princeton Men's Track and Field Team checking in at No. 16 in the nation.

The Tigers have four top-10 marks in the nation, including Sondre Guttormsen (5.75 m) and Simen Guttormsen (5.65 m) ranking second and fourth in the pole vault, Ed Trippas (8:30.25) ranking third in the 3000-meter steeplechase and Robbie Otal (62.77 m) ranking seventh in the discus.

Four more from the orange and black rank in the top-20 in the nation. Chandler Ault (72.47 m) ranks 12th in the javelin, C.J. Licata (19.41 m) ranks 17th in the shot put, Aviram Shwarzbard (7.85 m) ranks 18th in the long jump and Jeffrey Hollis (2.17 m) ranks 19th in the high jump.

Princeton won their 21st Ivy League Outdoor Championship this past weekend, securing their fourth straight title and completing the Heps triple crown for the 10th time in school history. The Tigers won 12 events overall and set four meet records, four school records and one Ivy League record.

The orange and black return home for the Princeton Elite Invitational on Saturday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m. inside Weaver Stadium.
