Skye Ettin & Blake Peters to Represent USA at Maccabiah Games

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton University men's basketball team Assistant Coach Skye Ettin and Blake Peters will represent the United States at the 2022 Maccabiah Games in Israel.

First held in 1932 and now the third-largest sporting event in the world, the Maccabiah Games are an international Jewish and Israeli multi-sport event held quadrennially in Israel.

Ettin will serve as an assistant coach of the USA men's team, while Peters will play on the team. USA will play five games in Stage One, and one finals game. The tournament will be Round Robin Style, and Princeton alumni Scott Greenman '06 will serve as a Head Coach of the team, along with Doug Gottlieb.

Ettin joined the Tigers' coaching staff in 2015, and during his time at Princeton the Tigers have won two Ivy League titles, made one NCA Tournament appearance, one NIT appearance, gone 110-60 overall and 75-25 in Ivy League play. He was named one of the 50 Most Impactful Mid Major Assistants in the Country by Silver Waves Media in 2020, and was named an NABC 30 Under 30 honoree in 2016-17. Ettin also helped the Tigers break program records in total points, points per game, three-pointers made, and three-point field goals per game in the 2021-22 season.

Peters appeared in 14 games his freshman year, scoring a season-high five points and pulling down a season-high five rebounds against Dartmouth on Feb. 12. Â
The duo helped Princeton win the outright Ivy League title in 2021-22, earn an a trip to the NIT, and post a 17-7 overall record along with a 12-2 record in Ivy League play.
