Princeton To Have 11 Representatives at World Rowing Championships

PRINCETON – Another national rowing event where Princeton University will make its presence known as the 2022 World Rowing Championships get underway on Sept. 18.

The Shea Rowing Center will see 11 representatives at the World Rowing Championships (Sept. 18-25).

The women's open crew squad will have Claire Collins '19 (U.S. 2-/8+), Emily Kallfelz '19 (4X), Kelsey Reelick '14 (U.S. 8+), Hannah Paynter '19 (U.S. Alt.) and Hannah Scott '21 (Great Britain 1X).

The men's heavyweight team has six former rowers participating in Dan de Groot '19 (Canada 2X), David Bewicke-Copley '20 (Great Britain 8+), Tom George '18 (Great Britain 2-), Jonas Juel '22 (Norway 4X), Nick Mead '17 (U.S. 4-), Andy LeRoux '20 (U.S. Alt.)

"We couldn't be more proud and excited for all of the alums this week at the World Rowing Championships," said Princeton heavyweight coach Greg Hughes. "They are more than deserving and we can't wait to see how they all do!"
