
Princeton Men's Track and Field Dominates at Wesley A. Brown Invitational with Multiple First-Place Finishes and Top 10 Performances

Annapolis, MD - The Princeton men's track and field team had a strong showing at the Wesley A. Brown Invitational, securing multiple first-place finishes and several notable individual performances throughout the two day meet.
Starting in the men's weight throw, Avery Shunneson took 5th place with a distance of 17.86m.
Greg Foster dominated in the men's long jump, taking first place with a result of 7.89m. This key performance currently stands at 3rd in the nation, putting Foster at the No. 2 spot on the Princeton top-ten performances list, and making him the top performer within the Long Jump in the Wesley A. Brown field House venue.
John Hogan performed well in the men's high jump, taking 5th with a height of 2.00m.
Nicholas Molloy placed 6th in the men's pole vault, with a height of 4.70m and David Amelemah secured 5th place in the Triple Jump with 13.09m.
In the men's shot put Casey Helm took 3rd place with a distance of 16.68m and Tyler Konopka placed 5th with a distance of 16.28m.
The running events took off on day two.
Greg Foster secured 2nd place within the men's 60m hurdles, with a time of 7.93 seconds. With that result, he moves to No. 4 on the top-ten performances list, shifting upwards from his previous spot at No. 9. Foster continues to impress as the season progresses, and is sure to be an athlete to watch when it comes time for the Indoor Heptagonal Championships.
Jovan Aigbeken placed 5th within the 60m hurdles at 8.17 seconds. Easton Tan (8.21) and Chris Paige (8.39) took 6th and 7th respectively.
Daniel Duncan claimed a first place finish for the Tigers in the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.76 seconds.
In the men's 1 mile run, Dan O'Brien secured 3rd place with a time of 4:08.36, with Josh Zelek (4:10.48) and Nick Bendtsen (4:11.78) coming in shortly after at 5th and 6th place.
In the men's 400m dash, Billy Doyle secured 3rd place with a time of 48.91 seconds. Aiden Silvestri finished in 10th (50.60) and Issa Hittchens in 15th (51.82).
The 800m run saw a first-place finish for Ethan Reese with a time of 1:51.14, followed by Jordan Kaplan in 3rd (1:53.22) and Joe Fast in 5th (1:53.31).
Duncan Miller secured first place in the men's 1000m run with a time of 2:24.51, followed by Jack Stanley in 2nd place (2:25.83).
Joey Gant secured 3rd place in the men's 200m dash (21.67). Gant's performance lands him at No. 9. on the Princeton top-10 performances list. John Catherman took 11th place to close out the 200m dash for the Tigers (22.52).
In the 3000m run, Myles Hogan secured 2nd place with a time of 8:15.06, Cooper Austen took 3rd place (8:17.71), and Jarett Kirk placed 12th (8:36.43).
The men's 1600m relay was a strong event for the team, with Billy Doyle, Joey Gant, Ladislav Topfer, and Anderson Dimon taking 3rd place with a result of 3:15.93.
The men's 4000 distance medley relay saw two Princeton teams take first and second place. In first Jack Stanley, Jack Kenkel, Duncan Miller, and Connor Nisbet finished at 10:01.24. Coming in second Sebastian Fischer, Connor Chen, Jackson Shorten, Joshua Zelek (10:04.40).
In the Heptathlon, Phil Kastner secured first place, with strong performances in all events, including 60m (7.07 sec),60m Hurdles (8.10 sec), Long Jump (7.27 m),High Jump (1.95 m),Shot Put (13.91),Pole Vault (4.57m) and 1000m (2:53.98). His total in the Heptathlon of 5604 currently stands at 3rd in the nation and places him at no. 3 on the Princeton Top-10 Performances list.
