Princeton, N.J. – The Princeton Women's Track and Field team is set for the annual HYP meet this Saturday, January 28th hosted by Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The meet will be streamed this year on ESPN +.
Last season in 2022, the H-Y-P meet was canceled due to inclement weather.
The Tigers, coming off a great weekend of Princeton performances, including a new Ivy League record set by first year pole vaulter, Tessa Mudd, will be ready to take on Harvard and Yale University for some great Ivy League competition and gain an early preview into this years' Heptagonal Indoor Championships.
The Tiger women have been off to an impressive start this season, with three, No. 1 all-time Princeton records set already for the 2022-23 indoor season in three events.
Last weekend, the Tiger women recorded six, all-time Princeton performances including Mudd's and Mponzi's No. 1 records.
In the Triple Jump, Georgina Scoot's distance of 12.33m lands her at No. 5 on the all-time Princeton record list.
Lily Parris's 60m Hurdle time of 8.72 places her at No. 6, Brianna Mponzi's 24.53, 200m dash performance will put her at No. 8, and India Ingemi's 24.80, 200m dash will be right below Mponzi at No. 9.
The Tigers will look to continue their pattern of success from the team's first-years and upperclassmen into this weekend, and leave Cambridge with a victory.
On Saturday, the field events are set to take place at noon followed by the running events at 2:30 p.m.
