No. 10/11 St. Lawrence Takes Weekend Opener From No. 14 Princeton

St. Lawrence, ranked No. 10 and 11 between the two national polls, scored early in Friday's game against the No. 14-ranked Princeton women's hockey team and led the rest of the way to take the ECAC Hockey weekend opener 7-2.
The Saints scored twice on the power play to lead 3-0 at the first ice cut, and after adding an early-period goal in the second, Jane Kuehl put back a rebound off a Katherine Khramtsov shot on a 2-on-1 chance with two minutes gone in the second to make it 4-1. St. Lawrence answered with one later in the period and added its final two goals in the third before Sarah Fillier scored on a late Tiger power play for her team-best fifth goal of the year.
The Tigers will wrap the weekend at Clarkson, ranked No. 6 and 8 in the two polls, Saturday at 3 p.m.
