PRINCETON, N.J. -Â The Princeton Women's Basketball Team knocked off the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 66-55, on Wednesday night at Jadwin Gym.

Kaitlyn Chen led the team with 19 points, going 7-of-13 from the field, adding five helpers. Madison St. Rose added 17 points while Ashley Chea registered a career-high with 13 in the win.

Princeton proceeded to put up 13 uncontested points on the scoreboard, capped off by a Madison St. Rose triple from deep to start off the Garden State matchup. She finished with 10 points in the first 10 minutes.

The Tigers maintained a defensive stronghold, keeping Rutgers without a score until the 5:27 mark of the first quarter and causing six turnovers in the process, eventually taking a 22-10 lead into the second frame.

The home team continued their scoring spree quickly adding seven points on the offensive end. Chen, still riding the momentum from her career-high 31 points at Villanova, increased the Tigers' lead to 19, 31-12, with a shot-clock expiring jumper at the 4:25 mark.

After an offensive rebound for Ellie Mitchell, who had 10 caroms in the contest, Chea sunk a deep three-pointer, extending the Tigers' lead to 22 points, their largest of the first half, 34-12.

Princeton held a 38-17 advantage at the break after limiting the Scarlet Knights to seven points in the second stanza and forcing 13 turnovers in the first 20 minutes of action.

St. Rose grabbed five points early in the second half off a fast break layup followed by a dime from beyond the three-point line.

The Tigers led by as many as 26 in the second half before cruising to an 11-point victory. They never trailed in the contest and registered 26 points of 21 turnovers. Head coach Carla Berube's unit also stole 10 passes and had five blocks.
