EWING, N.J. – The Princeton University men's track & field team opened its indoor season Saturday at the College of New Jersey Indoor Opener and the Sharon Colyear Invitational.

At the Sharon Colyear Invitational, Nicholas Bendtsen finished 46th with a time of 13:46.65 in the 5,000 meters.

The top-four finishes in the 600 belonged to Princeton as Collin Boler took first (1:19.21), Samuel Rodman second (1:19.89), William Doyle third (1:19.91) and Jordan Kaplan fourth (1:21.33). Boler's time was a new school record, topping the previous record of 1:19.44 set by Doyle at the 2021 TCNJ Winter Open. Rodman's time ranks No. 3 on Princeton's all-time list, surpassing the time of 1:20.25 set the 2021 TCNJ Winter Open by Ethan Reese '23. Kaplan's time was also the eighth-fastest in school history.

The day began with the Tigers taking the top-two spots in the 60 hurdles, with Greg Foster finishing first (7.92) and Easton Tan second (8.03). Tan's time was the ninth-fastest in school history, beating the time of 8.05 set by Chris Vasich '09 at 2009 Heps that previously sat at No. 9 on the Tigers' all-time list.

Princeton also earned a 1-2-3 sweep in the mile thanks to Sebastian Fisher (4:11.20), Jackson Shorten (4:12.33) and Sebastian Martinez (4:22.21).

The Tigers additionally earned a 1-2-3 sweep in the 1,000. Joe Fast finished first (2:28.33), Vijay Krishnamoorthi second (2:30.81) and Martinez third (2:36.21).

Xaiver Donaldson (33.74) and Anderson Dimon (33.75) finished first and second in the 300. Donaldson moved up to No. 4 all-time in school history in the event, as he went faster than the previous No. 4 time of 33.82 set by Tom Hopkins '14 at the 20211 New Years Invite.

In the 5,000 Jack Gregorski's time of 14:48.39 saw win the event while Nathan Tavakolian came in second in 14:48.56.

First and second place in the 4x400 relay were taken by the Tigers. The quartet of Isa Hitchens, Aiden Silvestri, Collin Boler and Jordan Kaplan finished first in 3:17.74 while Foster, Richard Lawson, Lorenzo Cagliero and Ilay Furman were second in 3:21.47.

Joe Licata (18.33 meters), Tyler Konopka (17.71 meters), Casey Helm (17.29 meters) and Avery Shunneson (15.35 meters) finished as the top-four in the shot put. Licata's mark was the seventh-furthest in school history, exceeding the previous No. 7 set mark set by Geoff Seay '86 of 18.28 meters at the 1985 Princeton Relays.

Paul Brennan (19.64 meters) and Shunneson (18.84 meters) claimed the top-two finishes in the weight throw. Brennan's mark ranks No. 8 on Princeton's all-time list, besting the previous No. 8 mark of 19.59 set at 2008 Heps by Alex Pessala.

Richard Lawson's mark of 7.09 meters saw him earn a second-place finish in the long jump while John Hogan cleared 1.92 meters to finish third in the high jump.
