PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's tennis team's season-opening stretch of road contests continues when it takes on Vanderbilt on Saturday, February 4, in Nashville, Tennessee, and Middle Tennessee State on Sunday, February 5, in Murfreesboro, Tennesee.
The Tigers' match against the Commodores begins at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT, and their match at MTSU begins at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT.
Princeton is 1-3 on the season, and is coming off an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kickoff Weekend where it advanced to the Championship Match at the Virginia Regional. The Tigers defeated Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent Ole Miss on Saturday, January 28, 4-1, before falling to No. 1 Virginia in the Championship Match, 4-0. In Princeton's win over Ole Miss, Fnu Nidunjianzan earned a 6-1, 6-1, victory over No. 99 Nikola Slavic.
Vanderbilt has an 0-2 record in 2023, and most recently suffered a 4-3 setback against Memphis in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, January 29, at the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
MTSU has a 3-2 record this season, and most recently fell 4-2 to No. 10 Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Saturday, January 28. Prior to their matchup with the Tigers, the Blue Raiders host USF on Friday, February 3.
