
Women's Squash Defeats University of Virginia on Senior Day

Princeton, NJ - The Princeton Women's squash team defeated the University of Virginia Cavaliers 7-2, on Saturday afternoon in Jadwin Gymnasium.
Prior to the match, the Tigers honored the teams' two seniors, Andrea Toth and Anna Goodman. Head coach, Gail Ramsay, thanked the two women for their contributions to the program over their years at Princeton, and shared a few, kind words about both Toth and Goodman.
Princeton started the match off strong, gaining early points in the Tigers' favor at the No. 6 position via an India Stephenson 3-0 sweep, a 3-0 victory at the No. 4 position from Caroline Spahr and a 3-2 victory at the No. 2 position from Andrea Toth.
Three more Tiger points resulted from victories by Abigail Schuster (No. 9), Charlotte Bell (No. 5), and Katherine Glaser (No. 8).
Schuster defeated her Virginia opponent 3-0, and only dropped one point in her second game played to win 11-1. Glaser came out with a 3-0 sweep, and Bell won an exciting five game match 3-2 against Virginia's Olivia Walsh.
Charlotte Bell at the No. 5 position and Abigail Schuster at the No. 9 position took the final, Tiger wins of the day to seal Princeton's victory over Penn.
At the No. 3 position, Liyen Teoh took the final Tiger win of the match to secure Princeton's victory over the Cavaliers. Teoh defeated Maria Moya in a 3-1 match. Despite dropping the first game, 6-11, Teoh made a major comeback win three straight games, and gain the Tiger point.
Princeton defeated the University of Virginia with a final score of 7-2. The women will return to Jadwin on Sunday, February 12th at 11 a.m. for their final home match of the season against the Chatham Cougars.
