Tiger Start Strong Before No. 9/10 Clarkson Rallies
February 17, 2023 | Women's Ice Hockey
With Friday night's results, Princeton will finish either sixth or seventh in ECAC Hockey, and Saturday afternoon's game will give the Tigers and St. Lawrence a head-to-head opportunity to decide which team will be in which spot. The Saints enter Saturday in sixth, just a half-point ahead of the Tigers. Princeton will travel to either Yale, Colgate or Quinnipiac for the best-of-three ECAC Hockey quarterfinals next weekend.
Princeton got off to a fast start with Fillier's two goals. The first of those came just 79 seconds into the game as Fillier won a power-play draw, and three passes later, got the puck back from Maggie Connors near the slot for the finish.

Clarkson's Stephanie Markowski got one back just after the midpoint of the period, and Emerson O'Leary restored Princeton's two-goal lead when Katherine Khramtsov found O'Leary on the doorstep of the crease late in a power play.
