The Home Stretch: Princeton has clinched an ECAC Hockey playoff bid and enters the weekend in sixth place with 29 points. Princeton can finish between fifth and seventh, with Cornell entering the weekend fifth at 33.5 points and St. Lawrence seventh at 27.5 points. Any of the current top four teams are potential quarterfinal opponents, with Yale (51.5), Colgate (50.5), Quinnipiac (50) and Clarkson (40.5).
The Series with Clarkson and St. Lawrence: Clarkson leads the all-time series 23-17-2 overall and 10-9-1 in Potsdam. The Golden Knights have a three-game win streak in the series overall, have won eight in a row in Potsdam, and are unbeaten in the last nine since Princeton's last win in Cheel in 2014. Princeton leads the all-time series with St. Lawrence 38-31-4 overall and 19-13-2 in Canton. Princeton won this season's visit to Baker, 1-0 on Nov. 18, to break a two-game Saints win streak in the series. In Canton, the Saints' win streak is one, since Princeton's last win in 2020.
Win Streak: Princeton enters the weekend with a five-game winning streak that is the team's longest since a six-game win streak from Jan. 28-Feb. 14, 2020. A weekend sweep would make it the longest win streak since winning 12 straight from Nov. 27, 2015-Jan. 29, 2016. The current win streak includes Princeton's first win over a top-10 team this season, as the run began with an 11-3 win over then-No. 4 Quinnipiac, and continuing the streak would require another one, against No. 9/10 Clarkson.
Stat Rankings: Entering the week, Princeton stood 12th in the nation in faceoff win percentage at .531 and 20th in both scoring margin (+0.12 goals/game) and scoring offense at 2.65 goals per game. Sarah Fillier was seventh nationally in faceoff wins (400), and Taylor Hyland's goalie winning percentage of .607 was 17th nationally.

Classmate Taylor Hyland has played 49 percent of the team's minutes in goal and leads the team with a .905 save percentage. Hyland's eight wins are the most for a Princeton rookie since Stephanie Neatby '20 won 12 in 2016-17.

Olympic Gold: Junior Sarah Fillier returned to Princeton this season for the first time since the 2019-20 season that ended due to the pandemic just before the NCAA tournament. In the meantime, Fillier helped Canada to two IIHF World Championships and Olympic gold. At the Olympics, Fillier co-led Canada in goals (five) and led the team in points (11).
