Tigers Beat Dartmouth to Complete Weekend Sweep

Second-period goals from Maggie Connors and Issy Wunder rallied the Princeton women's hockey team past Dartmouth 2-1 Saturday as the Tigers completed the sweep of the ECAC Hockey weekend road trip.
Princeton will return home next weekend for its final regular-season homestand, hosting Union Friday and Rensselaer Saturday. Tickets are available here.
Dartmouth got a goal from Lauren Messier less than four minutes into the game, but that was it for the Big Green on a day that saw Princeton outshoot Dartmouth 55-29 overall and 33-16 on goal.
With four-plus minutes to go in the middle frame, Princeton found the equalizer on one of its two power plays on the day when Connors threaded a shot from the top of the circle to Dartmouth netminder Maggie Emerson's left through a crowd in front of the net.
The tie lasted just 32 seconds before Issy Wunder jammed home a rebound off a Mariah Keopple shot, and Princeton was ahead 2-1.
The third period saw Princeton kill off a five-minute penalty, sealing the win as rookie netminder Taylor Hyland, who made 15 saves, and the Tigers kept the Big Green scoreless for the game's final 56:32.
