For the second straight tournament and third time this academic year, Princeton sophomore Victoria Liu has earned tournament medalist honors, this time at UNCW's River Landing Classic, which wrapped Tuesday at River Landing in Wallace, N.C.
Liu carded rounds of 71, 70 and 75, highlighting Monday's second round with a hole-in-one on the par-3 sixth hole. Liu finished even par for the tournament, one stroke ahead of Marshall's Emily McLatchey (-1).
Liu also won medalist honors at the Princeton Invitational in the fall and shared the medalist title as part of a three-way tie at the Columbia Classic last month.Â
Princeton finished tied for fourth as a team at +40 with UNCW winning at +24, three strokes in front of runner-up James Madison.
Princeton will compete again at the Harvard Invitational, held April 8-9 at Oaks Club in Osprey, Fla.
