
Men's Track and Field Starts Outdoor Season Strong at Penn Challenge

Philadelphia, PA – The Princeton men's track and field team began the 2023 outdoor season on a high note with three top-ten all time Princeton performances recorded on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Field.
On the track, Joey Gant took a first-place finish in the 100m, finishing with a time of 10.65.
Gant also placed first in the 200m, finishing with a time of 20.99, to finish as the Tiger on top.
Within the 110m hurdles, Easton Tan finished in second with a time of 14.76 and shortly behind in third, Jovan Aigbekaen finished in 14.96.
Aiden Silvestri was the lone Tiger to compete in the 400m hurdles, finishing with a time of 55.30.
In the field events within the shot put, Tyler Konopka earned a second-place finish with an impressive mark of 17.83m. Konopka's result also puts his name at number nine on the all-time Princeton performances list.
Two Tigers earned the top two spots in the discus throw in addition to a pair of new all-time Princeton performances. Casey Helm took first place with a throw of 54.75m and Avery Shunneson placed second with a mark of 54.11m.
Helm's performance will place him at number seven on the all-time Princeton performances list and Shunneson at number ten.
Asher Robbins was the lone Tiger to compete in the hammer throw, finishing with a mark of 56.5m.

The Tigers will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to compete in the Raleigh Relays from March 24th – March 25th.
