Final Results
The Princeton men's track and field team represented at two meets this weekend including the Raleigh Relays and the Navy Invitational. Both squads ended the weekend with strong performances in both Raleigh and Annapolis to keep the team's momentum going into the 2023 outdoor season.
Raleigh Relays
In Raleigh, Nicholas Bendsten impressed in the 5000m, finishing in 13:41.67 to take eighth place overall among a strong pool of national talent.
Bendsten's performance will also earn himself a spot on the Princeton all-time performances list at No. 5.
In the 10000m Josh Zelek finished strong among the top 20 in 15th crossing the finish line at 28:57.79. Zelek's performance will put him at No. 7 on the all-time Princeton performances list.
Navy Invitational
The 100m dash saw an impressive first place finish from Ibrahim Ayorinde at 10.56 and teammate John Catherman finished shortly behind in third at 10.86.
The Tiger men roared in the 110m hurdles. Not only did Easton Tan take a first place finish in 14.29, but his performance will now land at No. 5 on the Princeton all-time performances list.
Princeton took a top-three sweep in the event with Albert Kreutzer taking second (14.46) and Philip Kastner coming in third (14.79).
Isa Hitchens took fourth in the 400m dash, finishing at 51.34.
The Tiger throwers continue to dominate in the outdoor season. Asher Robbins took first place in the hammer throw with a distance of 61.01m. Robbins' performance will now stand at No. 7 on the Princeton all-time performances list.
In the shot put, Casey Helm took first place with a mark of 17.23m, Tyler Konopka took second place with 17.21m, and Joe Licata placed fourth with a distance of 16.34m.
Helm also took first in the discus throw with a mark of 53.64m and Avery Shunneson finished in third with a 48.42m result.
Princeton placed first in the javelin throw, high jump, and triple jump.
In the javelin throw Zach Jaramillo threw for 62.02m, in the high jump John Hogan's mark was 1.90m, and in the Triple Jump David Amelemah lept 13.18m.
The Tigers had a successful campaign in Raleigh and Annapolis to close out the weekend with more strong performances from the Princeton men.
