Hyland Earns Recognition on ECAC Hockey's All-Rookie Team
March 02, 2023 | Women's Ice Hockey
Taylor Hyland has been named to the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team, the league announced at its pre-championship banquet Thursday night.
Hyland, who platooned between the pipes with sophomore Jennifer Olnowich in her rookie season, finished 9-8-1 with a 2.58 GAA and stopping 90.9 percent of shots in just short of 1,000 minutes on the ice, at 998:41. Hyland's nine wins were the most for a Princeton rookie since Stephanie Neatby '20 won 12 in 2016-17.
Princeton qualified for the ECAC Hockey playoffs for the program's ninth straight competitive season this winter, holding the seventh seed in the tournament and taking second-seeded and national No. 3-ranked Colgate to the limit in three games in the best-of-three series, with each game decided by one goal.
