Women's Crew Preps For Brown and Rhode Island Saturday

PRINCETON – The Women's Open Rowing unit welcomes Brown and Rhode Island to Lake Carnegie on Saturday (Mar. 25).

Princeton and Brown will race for the Class of 1987 trophy, a trophy that Lori Dauphiny's team was won four straight times.

The Tigers are coming off a fall season that saw the varsity eight earn the fourth fastest collegiate time at the Head of the Charles.

Last year, Princeton navigated the 2000-meter course in 6:21.3, a full three seconds ahead of No. 8 Brown and 6.3 seconds clear of No. 7 Ohio State.

In 2022, the Tigers' varsity four won the national title, the first V4 medal in program history. It was also the fourth gold medal for Princeton at the NCAAs ever. The Tigers finished third in the team standings, their best mark since 1997.
