
Women's Track & Field Dominates Day Two of Raleigh Relays, Mponzi Sets School Record

Raleigh, N.C. – The women's track and field team finished day two of the Raleigh Relays with more impressive performances from the Tigers. The women continued their momentum sparked on Thursday throughout day two of competition at Paul H. Derr Track.
Friday Track Events
Among Friday's strong performances was a new, No. 1 all-time Princeton record set from Brianna Mponzi in the 100m. Mponzi recorded a new personal best, finishing at 11.64 to take the No. 1 spot in school history.
Arianna Smith continues to be a consistent force on the track for the Tiger women.
Smith recorded a new personal best in the 100m hurdles finishing in 14.02 to hold her No. 6 spot on the all-time Princeton performances list. Friday also saw another strong showing from Smith in the 400m. She was the Top Tiger to finish, coming in at 54.74. With this result, Smith will land at No. 6 on the all-time Princeton performances list.
Members of the Tiger distance squad also impressed in Raleigh on Friday. In the 1500m Maggie Liebich finished with a personal best time of 4:24.96, and Abby Loveys finished shortly behind at 4:29.95.
Lexi Allen and India Weir both made a strong outdoor season debut. Allen represented Princeton admirably in the 3000m steeplechase to finish with a time of 10:45.89 and Weir made a strong finish in the 5000m to come in at 16:26.19 to record a new personal best.

The Tiger jumpers continue to dominate outdoors. In the Triple Jump, Alexandra Kelly took a first place finish with a 12.84m result. She recorded this jump on just her first attempt to take the No. 2 spot on the all time Princeton performances list.
Tiger teammates Tia Rozario and Georgina Scoot also impressed on Friday in the Triple Jump. Rozario's jump of 12.80m will land her at No. 3 on the all-time Princeton performances list, serve as her new personal best, and is also an all-time Singapore record.
Scoot also finished strong on Friday with a jump of 11.89m
2023 Indoor Ivy Champion Madeleine Wood impressed in the high jump to take a sixth place finish following her 1.67m jump in Raleigh. Thrower Siniru Iheoma competed in the discus on Friday, finishing with a solid mark of 50.04m to take an eighth place finish.
The final day of the Raleigh Relays will begin on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. beginning with the women's long jump.
