No. 46 Men's Tennis Takes Down Charlotte & Delaware

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 46 Princeton University men's tennis team had a successful Saturday inside Jadwin Gymnasium, defeating Charlotte 7-0 and following up with a 6-1 win over Delaware.
"I have been very pleased this year in our ability to maintain focus and sustained energy in these double headers," said Head Coach Billy Pate. "We have worked exceptionally hard with our fitness and I believe it's had a positive impact on days like this. Both Charlotte and Delaware and very solid, well coached teams and we needed to play to our standard. We had good execution in doubles in both matches and I felt that really helped us control momentum in singles."
No. 46 Princeton vs. Charlotte
Princeton won the doubles point, with the duo of Ellis Short and Filippos Astreinidis overcoming Abhimanyu Vannereddy and Brett Gloria, 6-2, at No. 2 and Sebastian Sec and Alan Kam taking down Ivan Dreycopp and Aditya Marayanan at No. 3, 6-1.
The Tigers swept then swept the singles matches with Fnu Nidunjianzan earning a 6-1, 6-2 win over Coy Simon at No. 1, and Thomas Bosancic dispatching Vannemreddy at No. 2, 7-6, 6-0. At No. 3, Will Peters defeated Dreycopp 6-2, 6-0, and Sec upended Matias Iturbe 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4. At No. 5, Short prevailed 7-5, 6-0 over Jhonny Acosta and Astreinidis triumphed at No. 6 over Narayanan, 6-0, 6-2.

The Tigers again won the doubles point, with Short and Astreinidis earning a 6-2 win at No. 2 over William Wibmer Tobey Lock, and Sec and Kam taking down Vdayan Bhaker and Daniel Krulig at No. 3, 6-2.
In singles, Nidunjianzan earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 1 over James Wilkinson and Peters a 7-5, 6-3 win over Luis Molina at No. 2. Sec triumphed 6-2, 6-2 over Krulig at No. 3, and Short 6-3, 6-3 over Wibmer at No. 4. Matthew Bosancic also knocked off Lock at No. 5, 6-3, 6-4.
