Tigers Take Third at Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate

William Huang and Max Ting co-led the Princeton men's golf team at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, which wrapped Tuesday on the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club's Gold Course in Williamsburg, Va.
Huang and Ting tied for 12th overall at +3. Navy's Chip Deegan won medalist honors at -6, three strokes better than Fairleigh Dickinson's Pyae Phyo Thu (-3).
Princeton finished third as a team at +20, four shots behind winner Villanova (+16) with runner-up George Washington two shots back (+18).
Connor Belcastro had Princeton's third eagle of the tournament, making the par-five second hole in three. Jackson Fretty had the first, during Monday's play, also on the second hole, and Ting eagled the par-four 13th during Monday's second round.
Princeton will compete again when it hosts the Princeton Invitational April 8-9 at Springdale Golf Club.
