No. 13 Women's Water Polo Set To Head To San Diego This Weekend

PRINCETON – The No. 13 Women's Water Polo Team heads to the West Coast for its annual Spring Break trip this weekend.
The Tigers head to San Diego St. for the Aztec Invitational for four games. Princeton battles the host school (5 p.m., 2 p.m. PT) and Siena (8 p.m., 5 p.m. PT) on Saturday along with Westclif (12 p.m., 9 a.m.) and No. 15 UC San Diego (3:30 p.m., 12:30 p.m. PT) on Sunday.
Head coach Derek Ellingson's squad is 12-1 this season and on an eight-game winning streak. The Tigers swept out the Princeton Invitational highlighted by two decisions over No. 18 Harvard and No. 19 Brown.
Jovana Sekulic and Kayla Yelensky pace the Tigers in goals with 27 each. Rachael Carver leads the team in scoring with 10 tallies and 31 helpers. Eight players have registered at least 10 goals in Sekulic, Yelensky, Shanna Davidson, Kate Mallery, Kaila Carroll, Laura Larkin, Meera Burghardt and Carver. Lindsey Lucas is 10-1 in goal with a .610 save percentage and 119 stops. She has recorded at least one Collegiate Water Polo Association weekly honor each week Princeton has played.
