No. 1 Men's Lightweight Rowing Heads To Ithaca For Platt Cup Against No. 12 Cornell

PRINCETON – The No. 1 Men's Lightweight Team makes the trip to Ithaca, N.Y., to take on the No. 12 Cornell Big Red for the Platt Cup.
Cornell has taken the last two Platt Cups and seven of the last nine dating back to 2012.
Last year, with a moderate to high tailwind throughout all four races, the Tigers were unable to secure a win as Cornell claimed all four.
Princeton's varsity eight has not lost this season, dropping No. 5 Navy, No. 7 No. 9 Dartmouth, Georgetown, Columbia, Mercyhurst, MIT, Penn and Dartmouth. The closest margin has been 4.6 seconds (Navy).
Last week, The Tigers' 1V earned a seven second victory (6:00.6) over Dartmouth (6:07.6) while Delaware came across at 6:34.2. Princeton's 2V crossed the line at 6:02.8, almost five seconds in front of the Big Green (6:07.6). The third varsity also corralled a decision (6:23.2) over Dartmouth (6:26.0).
